Find Double Lines

Find consecutive subtitle lines with the same text.

How It Works

Subtitle Edit compares each subtitle line with the next line. HTML/formatting tags are ignored for the comparison, and blank lines are skipped.

When duplicate consecutive lines are found, they are listed in a results grid.

How to Use

1. Open Spell check → Find double lines....
2. Select a duplicate line in the results grid.
3. Click Go to, press Enter, or double-click the row to jump to that subtitle in the main grid.
4. Edit, delete, or merge the duplicate lines as needed.
