Vite

Starting fresh? Use shadcn/create to configure a Vite project with custom themes, Base UI or Radix, and icon libraries.

Create Project

Run the init command to create a new Vite project or to set up an existing one:

npx shadcn@latest init -t vite

For a monorepo project, use --monorepo flag:

npx shadcn@latest init -t vite --monorepo

Add Components

You can now start adding components to your project.

npx shadcn@latest add button

The command above will add the Button component to your project. You can then import it like this:

import { Button } from "@/components/ui/button"

export default function App() {
  return (
    <div>
      <Button>Click me</Button>
    </div>
  )
}
