• The accepted useful upstream ideas were route-level spacing/container polish, the muted announcement badge, and the gradient demo surface, not content replacement.
• Desktop preview now uses the full 1440px viewport width without horizontal overflow.
• Mobile preview remains padded at 342px in a 390px viewport without horizontal overflow.
• The retained Plate preview surface now has 2 gradient nodes, matching the upstream home demo count.
• The muted lower wrapper and home-only footer background keep the gray to the document bottom.
• The muted preview field is full bleed, while the retained preview content computes to 1536px at a 2048px viewport, centered with equal margins.

Decisions and tradeoffs:

• Kept Plate's centered copy/CTAs and editor preview.
• Reduced home hero actions to the docs CTA only; GitHub stays in the shared header.
• Did not adopt upstream centered shadcn marketing card surface or create CTA.
• Applied route-level classes and a local announcement change instead of changing broad docs/editor surfaces.

Implementation notes:

• apps/www/src/app/(app)/page.tsx: kept the centered home header, removed the duplicate GitHub CTA, capped the preview content at max-w-screen-2xl, added upstream-style preview overflow containment plus top/bottom gradient overlays, marked the route as a home page, and made the lower muted background full bleed.
• apps/www/src/app/cn/page.tsx: mirrored the English CTA, max-width preview content, and full-bleed lower-background treatment.
