This guide covers how to manage your organization's plan, update payment methods, and manage billing details.

<Note title="Tip">

Learn more about available plans and credits in the Credits and Plans guide.

</Note>

Check Current Plan

To view your organization's current plan details, credits, and billing cycle information:

  1. Open the Bloom homepage.
  2. Click on your Bloom organization name at the top.
  3. Select "Account Settings" from the menu.
  4. Click "Billing" in the sidebar under Organization.

Your plan details show:

  1. Current billing cycle: The start and end dates of your current billing cycle. This cycle determines when your credits reset and when you're billed next.
  2. Credit reset: The number of days until your credits reset at the start of the next billing cycle.
  3. Plan name and price: Your current plan and its monthly cost.
  4. Monthly credits: The total credits you get each month.
  5. Total available credits: The credits you have left to use this month. This number decreases as you use credits and resets at the start of each billing cycle.

Upgrade Your Plan

You can upgrade your plan to a higher tier to get more features and credits. If you're upgrading from the Free plan, you can benefit from features like store publishing and export to GitHub.

<Note>

To downgrade your plan, see the Credits and Plans guide.

</Note>

To upgrade your plan:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Billing.
  2. Click the Upgrade button in the Credit plan section.
  3. Select your new plan tier from the dropdown.
  4. If you're on the Free plan and don't have a payment method, enter your card details to upgrade.
  5. Click "Pay and upgrade" to confirm.

Bloom charges you immediately for the new plan, and your credits update to reflect the new monthly amount.

<Note>

Upgrading your plan doesn't reset your credit usage. For example, if you've used 50 credits and upgrade to 160 credits, you'll have 110 credits remaining (160 - 50 = 110).

Manage Payment Methods

You can add multiple payment methods to your organization and choose the default one for billing. This is useful if you want to have a backup card or switch cards in the future without interrupting your subscription.

Add Payment Method

To add a new payment method to your organization:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Billing.
  2. In the "Payment methods" section, click "Add payment method."
  3. In the popup, enter your card details, including card number, expiration date, CVC, and cardholder name.
  4. Click "Add payment method" to save.

Set Default Payment Method

If you have multiple payment methods in your organization, you can choose which one to use by default for billing.

The default payment method shows a "Default" badge. Bloom charges this card for your monthly subscription.

To set a default payment method:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Billing.
  2. In the Payment methods section, find the card you want to set as default.
  3. Click the <InlineIcon Icon={EllipsisHorizontal} alt="three dots" /> icon on the card.
  4. Select "Set as default."

Update Billing Information

Your organization's billing information appears on invoices and receipts. You can update your billing information to ensure your invoices have the correct details. This includes your legal name, billing address, and country.

To update billing information:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Billing.
  2. Scroll to the "Billing information" section.
  3. Update any of these fields:
    • Legal name: Your business or legal name
    • Country: Your billing country
    • Address: Your billing address
    • City: Your billing city
    • Zip code: Your postal code
  4. Click "Save changes."

Future invoices show the updated billing information.

Cancel Your Plan

If you're on the Hobby plan, you can cancel your subscription to switch to the Free plan. After cancellation, you keep access to your current plan's features and credits until the end of the billing cycle. At that point, your plan changes to Free.

<Note>

See Credits and Plans for details on the Free plan and its limitations.

</Note>

To cancel your plan:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Billing.
  2. Scroll to the "Cancel plan" section.
  3. Click the "Cancel plan" button.
