Numbers with Accent Marks

It's especially important that you practice the following numbers because they have accent marks:

16 - Dieciséis

22 - Veintidós

23 - Veintitrés

26 - Veintiséis

Veintiuno vs. Veintiún

Veintiuno is the full form of the number 21. It's used when this word acts as a standalone noun or when referring to a number without directly modifying another noun. For example:

El resultado es veintiuno - The result is twenty-one.

In contrast, veintiún is used when the word precedes and modifies a masculine noun. For example:

Tengo veintiún años - I'm twenty-one years old.

Note that the word veintiún has an accent mark in the letter u.
