The DataLayoutControl can generate items automatically. If the AutoGenerateItems property is true , DataLayoutControl gets an object from the DataLayoutControl.CurrentItem property and generates a layout. Otherwise, if this property is false , DataLayoutItems for the current DataLayoutControl won’t be generated automatically and they should be created manually.
