Remarks

To obtain the list of higher level fields for the field value currently being processed, use the PivotFieldImageIndexEventArgs.GetHigherLevelFields method. The GetHigherLevelFieldValue method allows values of these fields to be retrieved. See the PivotFieldImageIndexEventArgs.GetHigherLevelFields topic for more information.

Note

If you call the GetHigherLevelFieldValue method while an asynchronous operation is being performed, an exception will be thrown. To determine whether the operation is in progress, use the pivot grid’s IThreadSafeAccessible.IsAsyncInProgress property. For more information, see Asynchronous Mode.
