Understanding Blockchain

A blockchain is essentially a shared, immutable ledger that records transactions in blocks. These blocks are linked together chronologically using cryptography, forming a chain. Each block contains a hash of the previous block, making it extremely difficult to alter or tamper with the data. This distributed and secure nature makes it suitable for various applications beyond just cryptocurrencies.
