Please don't change the general chat description.

external root directory is a limited access directory as of scoped storage introduced API 29, and enforced API 30. Reading the directory will only yield results of a standard folders (such as the downloads folder). Any custom files that was previously written is no longer accessible. Additionally, the external root directory is also no longer writable.

These are changes enforced by Android, there's nothing Cordova can do about this.

looks.like I am falling deeper in.rabbit hole with cordova upgrade and versioning

1. I cant use android@11 or 10.1.2 because of android:exported
2. trying [email protected] java - version = 11.0.16 gradle 7.1.1 node 16.16.0 but build fail with The supplied JavaHome.seems.to.be.invalid my JAVA_HOME. is C:\ProgramFiles\Java\jdk-11.0.16
   any idea why?
