The showDefaultFolder() function of the {{WebExtAPIRef("downloads")}} API opens the default downloads folder in the platform's file manager.

Syntax

None.

The following snippet contains a show button, which when clicked invokes showDefaultFolder() to open the default downloads folder in the platform's file manager:
