hi, i'm trying to use forgejo-cli to export data from codeberg. i don't see any kind of structured output for listing all issues; the closest is fj issue search but it doesn't seem to support JSON or anything like that. would you be open to adding it?

Yes, this is something I planned to add already.

One way I can think of this working is if we have a "global" option, such as --json, -J. Then, a user could use fj -J ... and all output will be JSON. Would be a lot of effort to implement this for all commands, though, but I can see it working. Thoughts?

My plan was to include it as an option in the --style command, i.e. fj --style=json repo view.

I had done some work on this a while ago, in which I:

  • renamed minimal style to plain
  • added a new minimal style that doesn't have things like bullet points and whatnot
  • added a json style for outputting JSON (but had not implemented that for every command)

... but that's lost somewhere in my pile of git stashes, oops.

JSON output would be super great to have; it's important for any kind of post-processing (e.g. with jq) or other automation use.
