Assumptions

This example makes the following assumptions:

  • Application Root URL: https://wiki.{{< sitevar name="domain" nojs="example.com" >}}/
  • Authelia Root URL: https://{{< sitevar name="subdomain-authelia" nojs="auth" >}}.{{< sitevar name="domain" nojs="example.com" >}}/
  • Client ID: Wiki.js
  • Client Secret: insecure_secret

Some of the values presented in this guide can automatically be replaced with documentation variables.

Configuration

Authelia

The following YAML configuration is an example Authelia client configuration for use with Wiki.js which will operate with the application example:

Application

To configure Wiki.js there is one method, using the Web GUI.

Web GUI

To configure Wiki.js to utilize Authelia as an OpenID Connect 1.0 Provider, use the following instructions:

  1. Login to Wiki.js as an Administrator.
  2. Visit Administration.
  3. Select Modules > Authentication.
  4. Select + Add Strategy.
  5. Select Generic OpenID Connect / OAuth2.
  6. Configure the following options:
    • Display Name: Authelia
    • Client ID: wikijs
    • Client Secret: insecure_secret
    • Authorization Endpoint URL: https://{{< sitevar name="subdomain-authelia" nojs="auth" >}}.{{< sitevar name="domain" nojs="example.com" >}}/api/oidc/authorization
    • Token Endpoint URL: https://{{< sitevar name="subdomain-authelia" nojs="auth" >}}.{{< sitevar name="domain" nojs="example.com" >}}/api/oidc/token
    • User Info Endpoint URL: https://{{< sitevar name="subdomain-authelia" nojs="auth" >}}.{{< sitevar name="domain" nojs="example.com" >}}/api/oidc/userinfo
    • Issuer URL: https://{{< sitevar name="subdomain-authelia" nojs="auth" >}}.{{< sitevar name="domain" nojs="example.com" >}}
    • Email Claim: email
    • Display Name Claim: name
    • Map Groups: Disabled
    • Groups Claim: groups
    • Allow self-registration: Enabled
  7. Copy the Callback URL / Redirect URI for the Authelia configuration.
  8. Click Apply.
